I would agree, except for a couple of caveats:
a) We would first need a way to inject parameters into the hive-site.xml we use
for testing. Once our testing infrastructure is capable of doing that, this
would be trivial.
b) Har is still an optional codeflow that nobody is currently using.
For now, I'd suggest opening up a separate jira for extending our test-suite to
test various modes all our test cases work on for hive-site.xml based
parameters. Also, for things like simultaneous testing of both secure and
unsecure modes.
