How long is it likely to take to get 0.2 to be release ready ? I wonder
if trying to get 0.1 out will be a good exercise in getting the legal
files and other related things setup correctly ?
Otherwise, there might be more such cycles with 0.2 as well.

If you've been following our release votes in general@incubator you know that
we have been unable to release hcat 0.1 due to issues with formatting of legal
files, missing legal files, etc. While our code for 0.1 has remained unchanged
since June we still have been unable to release it.
In the meantime we have not stood still in terms of fixing bugs and adding
features. Rather than continuing to push two month old code I propose we
abandon 0.1 and release 0.2. We have already tagged a revision for it. We can
branch from that tag and do a release from that branch. I believe
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HCATALOG-53 should be fixed before we
release. This has been checked in post 0.2 tag, so we will need to port it to
the branch.
Thoughts?
