https://github.com/traviscrawford/hcatalog/tree/HCATALOG-425_small_tiny_int and
currently have:
* Pig read support for smallint/tinyint columns.
* Initial unit test.
Still need to add a write check that will throw a runtime exception if the
value is outside the bounds of the column type.
