It seems that currently HCat scripts don't allow for full customization of
things like PID file names, etc. The relationship between env. variables (like
HADOOP_HOME) that are required to be present in order for the calls to the hive
wrapper script to succeed also need to be reconciled (this, however, can be
tricky if there's need to support multiple Hive releases).
