There are several reasons. (1) The rest of the family often has to use the phone. (2) The computer with Internet access isn't mine, so I would have to remotely SSH into another machine in order to connect. (3) I have better things to do than spend several hours a day idling on IRC, waiting for someone to bring up administration topics. If there is a particular time or day, however, that you plan to bring up administration topics, then let me know, and I will make the necessary arrangements to be on IRC. -- Michael Olson -- FSF Associate Member #652 -- http://www.mwolson.org/ Interests: Emacs Lisp, text markup, protocols -- Jabber: mwolson_at_hcoop.net /` |\ | | | IRC: freenode.net/mwolson: #emacs, #hcoop, #muse, #PurdueLUG |_] | \| |_| Projects: Emacs, Muse, ERC, EMMS, Planner, ErBot, DVC _______________________________________________ HCoop-SysAdmin mailing list [email protected] http://hcoop.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hcoop-sysadmin
