Are we delivering email into AFS? If so, there are probably some modifications to squirrelmail that are required. These should already be done on the following package: /afs/acm.uiuc.edu/admin/system/bin/i386_linux26/squirrelmail_1.4.8-2_all.deb AFS mods are probably needed for courier. I've never used it myself. I have used dovecot and patched versions are available from: /afs/acm.uiuc.edu/admin/system/bin/i386_linux26/dovecot*0.99.14-2*.deb And steps probably need to be taken for exim4 as well. Like starting it with tokens using kstart. > Blockers: > > - Should mire send mail through deleuze (smarthost) and stick with > a very simple exim4 configuration? I think it should, yes, although if its possible to have mire send mail directly to remote hosts if deleuze is unreachable, that might be good. That way we can have one machine monitor the other and alert us (at non-hcoop addresses) if something breaks. If anyone wants some monitoring setup, I have setup nagios before to monitor various websites and AFS servers. There are pretty good debian packages for nagios. <<CDC _______________________________________________ HCoop-SysAdmin mailing list [email protected] http://hcoop.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hcoop-sysadmin
