I like the smarthost configuration for web servers, going through a
central outbound "relay" point. It seems that this is what is commonly
done on larger networks, and it could help to control things like having
our servers used as spam relay points. Setting up an A record for
deleuze as "smtp.hcoop.net" and having other servers point to this alias
seems to make sense as later on we could move this function to another
server that acted as a dedicated mail relay with little effort.

This should also be useful to watch things such as the output of root
crontab jobs from a central location rather than having to check in to
every machine on the network on a regular basis.

Just my .02.

Justin
