With the elimination of /etc/passwd entries (see previous message), I think we've narrowed down the set of passwords for each user to:
- kerberos - ldap - portal Adamc, can we have the portal check passwords against kerberos? If the portal is running under apache it's easy to have mod_auth_kerb take care of this and pass the name of the authenticated user in an environment variable. If that works out, I'd also suggest not storing passwords in ldap, which would get us to the holy grail of one single password per user throughout all of hcoop. - a -- PGP/GPG: 5C9F F366 C9CF 2145 E770 B1B8 EFB1 462D A146 C380 _______________________________________________ HCoop-SysAdmin mailing list [email protected] http://hcoop.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hcoop-sysadmin
