I agree it is difficult. Kind-of in the same way as ldap,
kerberos, and virtually any technology that we use in our
special HCoop ways. ;-) But that's why we are here to make it work.

It is much more useful and fun to solve a few problems up
front for a long-term benefit, than to stick with the "common" stuff
that works out of the box, but you get to deal with its problems
during the complete lifecycle.

ldap, afs, kerberos and similar are foundations of a scalable
infrastructure, and that is what we want to achieve at hcoop.
