I didn't say I tried to "vos create" them.. I was saying that there was
no mention of them at all, until the last step where we magically
just fs mkm mail.$USER.backup 

Is mail.$USER.backup created completely automatically when
the read-write volume is created using vos create? If not, then
obviously some part of code is missing.
