Hello, If you are on a Linux system, try setting the environment variable XDG_CONFIG_HOME for each user to a shared directory (search for XDG_CONFIG_HOME in http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qsettings.html). This should result in a new config file path (./brainvis.wustl.edu/Caret7.conf<http://brainvis.wustl.edu/Caret7.conf>) in the XDG_CONFIG_HOME directory and you may need to set permissions on the directory and/or config file. It appeared to work for me on Linux but not on a Mac.
Otherwise, if you are on a Unix-type system, you could put a copy of a “Caret7.conf” file into a directory that is accessible by all users. After that, replace each user’s Caret7.conf file with a symbolic link to the shared Caret7.conf file. Be aware that the Caret7.conf file is used by both wb_command and wb_view. Connectome Workbench has a file for saving your configuration options here: ~/.config/brainvis.wustl.edu/Caret7.conf<http://brainvis.wustl.edu/Caret7.conf> Is there a way (or would it be easy to program a way) to allow for a non-default config file? My problem comes out of trying to use: wb_command -show-scene … We want many users to all be ensured to have the same config file for the script using this command. Thank you for any thoughts or help you can provide.
