Those are the observations. Perhaps Greg might have some thoughts on the
explanations.

Subject: [HCP-Users] Gambling task: clarification of Reward vs Loss being
mostly random noise

Dear HCP users

A while ago I submitted a question regarding the gambling task to the mailing
list and it was mentioned that the contrast reward>loss did not work very well
(link to comment:
https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06435.html). In
another thread regarding the gambling task Matt states that he would not trust
the results of the Reward vs Loss contrast, as they are mostly random noise
with some structured artefact (link to comment
https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06855.html).

I am wondering if we could get some more clarification of why this contrast did
not work very well and why this contrast would contain random noise with some
structured artefacts?

/Filip Grill
