If you build valgrind from svn trunk, it now kinda works on 10.7.

Apple's dev tools have similar memory debugging tools.  There are env vars that 
affect malloc, see 'man malloc' and there is guard malloc, see 'man libgmalloc'.

Either of those might help you track it down.
