Not sure I got a response but do any of the hdf5 tools open it? h5ls, h5debug,
h5dump, h5stat?

I thought the HDF Group had the equivalent of an 'fsck' tool for HDF5 files
that could automagically fixup any problems but I just went poking around and
didn't find anything that looked like it fit the ticket.

Subject: [Hdf-forum] corrupted file

Hello

I have an important HDF data file ~ 3GB with bunch of images that we really
care.

The program crashed in the middle of a file write.

I see that the file is partially written with ~3GB data in it.

Now I cant even open that file in my program / HDFViewer.

File Open Command fails.

Is there anything I can do to fix it ?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Shashi
