bq. You are writing at > 100 MB/sec. I first thought this is impossible unless 
you have a RAID as your local drive. But then realized you run single node 
benchmarks. This probably means you do not hit the disks. And explains why you 
don't see improvements with replication 3.

Regarding the Disk bandwidth, i am using 4  disks(4 partitions), with this i do 
not see any bottleneck.
With higher replication factors, network bottlenecks come into play and shield 
the efffect of these improvements.
