Brahma Reddy Battula commented on HDFS-8373:
--------------------------------------------

I saw HDFS-8833 is in discussion about whether to eliminate EC zones. If so,
ErasureCodingPolicy exists at file level, then the ec files can be moved to
Trash just like normal files.

> Ec files can't be deleted into Trash because of that Trash isn't EC zone.

> When EC files were deleted, they would be moved into {{Trash}} directory.
> But, EC files can only be placed under EC zone. So, EC files which have been
> deleted can not be moved to {{Trash}} directory.
> Problem could be solved by creating a EC zone(floder) inside {{Trash}} to
> contain deleted EC files.
