:) You are right, I also recall no security mechanism was mandated by NFSv4, 
then I saw the sentence in 3.2.1. So the RFC might have been revised along the 
way, even in the days of 3530.
Now I see your point, I am ok with 7499 as the tracking jira. Since it is 
unassigned, do you mind if I take it?
