I don't have complete context from AMS end, I can check with them and update it.
But there are few jira's done specifically for this like HDFS-8232, HDFS-10984
for this.
And also there are few metrics which have implemented this metrics like
FSDataset Metrics, Container metrics, DecayRpcScheduler metrics.
