[~swagle] Thanks for reporting this issue. I have committed this to the trunk
branch with the understanding that we will add counters and possible move these
as first class operations on OM, perhaps invoked via RPC to create snapshot and
http to be read an existing snapshot instead of doing all that operation in a
single blocking call. This is a good start, so let make forward progress.
