Clay B. commented on HDFS-3807:
-------------------------------

Hi [~tgraves].

One can now load in filters to WebHDFS thanks to HDFS-14234 which allows one to
plug-in via {{dfs.datanode.httpserver.filter.handlers}}. That configuration is
now documented (post a 3.3.0 release) in
[WebHDFS.md|https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/current/hadoop-project-dist/hadoop-hdfs/WebHDFS.html].

While an explanation of {{ hadoop.http.filter.initializers }} could be nicer
than what is present in
[HttpAuthentication.md|https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/current/hadoop-project-dist/hadoop-common/HttpAuthentication.html]
and the brief mention in [Package org.apache.hadoop.http.lib's Java
Doc|https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/current/api/org/apache/hadoop/http/lib/package-summary.html],
may I close this as a duplicate of HDFS-14234?

> I was messing with the http filters and noticed that they don't get applied
> when going to the webhdfs uri's. This might also apply to the other internal
> namenode servlets.
