While I agree, I believe you are describing the goal of HADOOP-8758. The goal
of HADOOP-8779, its subtasks, and this jira, is to make the minimal changes
necessary for "non-secure" clusters to use tokens with simple auth. With that
in mind, is this patch reasonable?
