Chris Nauroth updated HDFS-4685:
--------------------------------

    Attachment: HDFS-4685.3.patch

I'm attaching merge patch v3.

bq. org.apache.hadoop.fs.shell.TestAclCommands

A recent merge from trunk broke an assumption in this test, and I didn't quite
get it fixed for this run of the merge patch. HADOOP-10344 fixed it, and merge
patch v3 includes that fix.

bq. org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.tools.offlineEditsViewer.TestOfflineEditsViewer

This test is fixed, but now we have the standard problem of the merge patch not
carrying over the changed editsStored binary file. It's passing for me locally.

bq. org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.TestCacheDirectives

This is unrelated to the merge patch. See HDFS-5936.

> Currenly hdfs doesn't support Extended file ACL. In unix extended ACL can be
> achieved using getfacl and setfacl utilities. Is there anybody working on
> this feature ?
