Thanks for the numbers [~xieliang007] I ran some loadings yesterday and little
discernible overall difference in spite of my flushing file system cache with
regularity (good news, no errors). Today I was going to try and set up
measurement of the 99th-percentile, etc... but you did the work. Thanks.
Hopefully the +1s still stand (If anything, this final patch is more
conservative than the one that got the original +1s). I intend to commit this
tomorrow unless objection. I will then backport to branch-2.
