Specs does not show ability to record and display up to 1920x1080 (1080i) .
If it can and can output to a storage device liek a D-VHS or Blue Ray DVD recorder, then this may be pretty good at around $999.

MSRP showing on Amazon. Seems decent enough I think. There's also a
DHG-HDD250 which I think has a 30 hour HD recording storage. both
