Don't have HDTV yet and am considering LCD, DLP, and plasma. While watching at Best Buy and Circuit City, some sports programs will have sections of the image which appear "mushy". It is similar to the visual distortion you will see in compressed internet content. I'm wondering if the phenomenon is because the TV is attempting to "upscale" content to higher resolution by some sort of algorythm and not doing as well during fast motion, or if the HDTV set is not as good, such as 'slow' to change pixels.
The few store people I've spoken with don't have an explanation or claim not to see what I'm talking about. These products are so expensive, I don't want to buy this new stuff if the "improved" product is expected to display those problems now and then. Would rather stay at "low res" TV so I want notice the change. ======================================================== Community email addresses: Post message: [email protected] Subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner (Keith Knipschild): [EMAIL PROTECTED] Shortcut URL to this page: http://www.yahoogroups.com/community/HDTV-in-NYC ======================================================== Yahoo!
