Hi all,

Lately I've been noticing records in OCLC that give publication information (specifically, publisher location and date) in brackets. Such would be the policy if the information is being supplied by the cataloger from sources other than those prescribed. In these cases, though, the information is being taken from the t.p. verso, which is included in the prescribed source of information for publication data. Hence, no brackets should be added.

Thank you, Jasmin
