Jasmin, Thank you for your message. The question is not when the Temple was destroyed, 68, 69 or 70 A.D. The question is what year did Ben Yehudah and his publications think that the Temple was destroyed and according to that year calculated the date on the published book or newspaper. According to the sources that year was 69 A.D., so we have to add 69 to the date on the publication. Yossi

To be safe, you probably ought to give the Gregorian date as the range “between 1902-1905”. As for recording the publication date, I’d transcribe what’s on the piece in the vernacular field and supply the Gregorian equivalent in square brackets following the romanized form of the date: 300 |c אלף אתתל"ה לחרבן. 300 |c elef 836 la-H.urban [that is, between 1902- 1905] Optionally, you could add a 500 descriptive note explaining that the date provided is counted from the destruction of the Second Temple which occurred sometime between 68 to 70 of the Common Era.
