One question that (understandably) comes up often when people are
evaluating Heka for their use cases is "What companies are using Heka in
production?"
Unfortunately, whenever that question comes up, I have to admit that I
don't even know who all is using Heka. I've heard anecdotes about it
being used in various places, and I of course know that we've been using
it here at Mozilla in various forms for over a year, and especially
heavily since last fall, but since anyone can download it and run it w/o
having any contact with us at all there are lots of users that I haven't
heard about at all.
So I'm reaching out to this list to try to gather some names. If you
work at a company where Heka is being used in production, and you're
happy enough with it that you'd be okay w/ your company's name being on
a list of Heka users, can you send me an email? If you'd like to
describe how you're using it, awesome, I'd love to hear about it, but
that's not necessary; even just a "We're using it a <COMPANY NAME> and
we're finding it useful." would be helpful. :)
Also, please reply directly to me off-list so as to not spam everyone,
I'll put together a list and will send a link out when it's done. Unless
you're doing something so cool and interesting that you think it's worth
describing to all of us. ;)
