It's been a long time coming, but I'm very happy to say that we've
finally added a "Getting Started" section to the Heka documentation, to
help folks who are new to Heka get the lay of the land:

Feedback is welcome, as always. The docs are included in the heka source
code on github
(https://github.com/mozilla-services/heka/tree/dev/docs/source), so we
welcome bug reports or (even better!) pull requests if you find
something that's wrong or unclear.
Note that these docs refer to features that will be in the upcoming 0.7
release, so they're currently only visible in the 'dev' version of the
docs. The `hekad.readthedocs.org` URL currently redirects to the 0.6
docs; you can get to the dev docs by using the ReadTheDocs widget near
the bottom right of the page.
In related news, 0.6.1 and 0.7 releases will be coming soon, and once
0.7 is out that will become the new ReadTheDocs default, giving the new
docs a bit better visibility.
