I tried to clone the repository
I ran 'bzr checkout bzr://bzr.helenos.org/mainline HelenOS'
I have checked both the server and accessing it from a client and
everything seems to be working fine. Therefore it is very likely that
the connection is blocked on a firewall, perhaps on your premises or at
your ISP.
As Vojtech already suggested, you should try checking out the mirror of
the mainline branch from LaunchPad, i.e. running:
bzr branch lp:helenos HelenOS
This should use HTTPS (if you access LaunchPad anonymously) or SSH (if
you happen to already have an user account on LaunchPad) and there is
higher change that it will pass the firewall.
