indeed, this patch really looks like it got accidentally forgotten by us. Sorry about that :-) It is slightly out of date, but the conflicts can be easily corrected. This functionality has become pretty useful now. Could you please add the proper copyright headers to the newly added files? Also, which parts of the patch were created by Adam Saleh?
