Hello Jakub,
So, does this contribution made me passing patch requirement?
Yes. But note that it is only a prerequisite, the formal SOCIS
student selection process starts only after the application
deadline.
Don't forget to submit your application [1] and please use our
application template [2].

I've just sent my application. :) I'm looking forward for some
feedback on it.
Thanks for applying! You application looks good to me. Let's see how
it
turns out. Note that the SOCIS application form is kind of weird and
asks you to send any possible modifications to it directly to us
instead
of submitting the form for the second time.
Where should I send corrected application?
I wouldn't rely that much on being able to reuse/adapt code,
especially
the MMU code, from sparc64. There are significant differences between
various SPARCv9 subspecifications themselves, so I'd expect this to
be a
completely different animal.
You are right, SPARCv8 MMU is completely different. However, it's page
walking engine operates on pretty much typical 3-level page tables,
so I can model MMU operation using generic routines from page_pt.c and
as_pt.c like arm32 or ia32 ports.
