Exactly.

The mkext2.py script helped to pinpoint it because it creates a
filesystem with a low number of blocks per group (1024), it's a bit
uncommon but it's a legal value anyway. ext2 and ext3 are not affected
by this bug.
Curiously, the bug went unnoticed for a long time, it is present since
the 2.6.x serie.

This means that anyone with a pendrive formatted with the parameter
"-g 1024" can bring a linux system on its knees. :-D
