So it isn't possible to make overlapped mappings?
I am not quite sure what do you mean. You can certainly map one physical address from multiple virtual addresses. But once there is an established mapping of a virtual address V to a physical address P, you cannot somehow "overlay" V with a different mapping. That wouldn't really make much sense.
If you want to change the mapping of V, you need to remove the existing mapping and establish a new one.
In case you want to meddle somehow with the established mapping (with the granularity of pages), please describe in more detail what is your actual motivation and what do you want to achieve.
