Hi,

in the original NIC framework development branch there was a utility called
nicconf:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~helenos-nicf/helenos/nicf/files/head:/uspace/
app/nicconf/

but we did not merge it to mainline.
Sadly the mainline does not have anything to configure NICs or even to
observe link status, speed, etc.
That means many of the NIC framework interfaces (e.g. link status) are not
currently being used at all.

Regards,
Jiri

Předmět: [HelenOS-devel] RTL8169 driver for HelenOS - weekly report 6

"

Hello,

There's not much progress this week... I was sick for a few days and unable
to write any code...

I've implemented MII/PHY access functions allowing to get detailed link
status, set desired speed, duplex mode, etc. and set autonegotiation
parameters. I've filled out nic_iface_t functions bodies, except for rtl8169
_pause_get and rtl8169_pause_set. However, I don't know how to test eg.
changing link speed or autonegotiation parameters... is there any tool like
linux 'ethtool' in HelenOS?

Regards,
Agnieszka
