I was able to pull and push, but Trac's timeline is not displaying my
last commit.

Right, the repository seems to be fine now, but Trac seems to be stuck
at 2324. Even after three pushes.

Well, I have spent about two hours trying to figure out what happened. There was nothing interesting in the server logs.

BTW: Do you have, just by accident, the backtrace you mentioned earlier? I don't think this is an issue with the commit hook on the server, but it is some strange interaction between the client and the server and it seems that it is actually the client who aborts (since the commit email arrived fine).

After the two hours I finally realized that there is a suspicious "branch" directory in the top-level .bzr directory of the repository which is not supposed to be there (the .bzr/branch directory should be only in the actual branches of the repository). Don't ask me how it is possible that the directory was there, but after deleting it everything seems to work fine again :)
