Dear Jiri,

thanks for looking into this.

* ia64/ski, msim, sparc64/niagara and sparc64/ultra all boot fine, but get stuck in some (different) kernel test (either that or it takes waaay too long)

This is strange, I did run the kernel tests on these targets about a month ago and they worked fine. But I can confirm the issues, except msim which seems to be still working fine for me (but I've just run the tests once).

This is definitively worth investigating.

* mips32/malta-le, mips32/malta-be image is too big and fails to load

I cannot confirm this. Both Malta images (built using build_all.sh) load fine in my case.

* riscv64 gets stuck after it writes "Booting the kernel..."

The RISC-V support is still unfinished and there is no point in including the port in a release yet.

* arm32/raspberrypi .. upstream qemu does not support raspi1p, only raspi2(!) when I run it as raspi2, it does not do anything
the other images that can be run in emulator work fine.

How about hikey960?

HiKey960 should work (modulo the intentional limitations, like no SMP support). But sadly I don't have physical access to the board at this moment, thus I cannot confirm.

riscv64 is missing wiki documentation (http://www.helenos.org/wiki/HardwareSupport)

Again, that's because there is no proper RISC-V support yet. The code is following old specs and it needs to be retargeted to some reasonable platform like the SiFive U (originally, it targeted Spike which is obsolete now).

hikey960 has just a stub written by me

OK, I've extended the description a bit. But there is really nothing much to say, the port is rather rudimentary.

M.D.
