For anyone else interested, mouse integration works much more smoothly if ‘USB Tablet’ is selected as the pointing device in VBox’s Settings | System | Motherboard tab.

You can find latest automatic builds on http//ci.helenos.org/ In the HelenOS table you can find Architecture: amd64 and click on "HelenOS boot image" link and you will be able to download the ISO. The link to the amd64 ISO image for the current latest build is http://ci.helenos.org/build-558/amd64/helenos-amd64.iso I've tested this image specifically and it works fine in VirtualBox. You need to configure your vitual machine correctly, though, as HelenOS does not support the default network and audio device selected by VirtualBox for "Other" operating system. For network device select Intel PRO/1000 MT Server or Desktop. For audio device select Intel HD Audio (Soundblaster 16 should also work, but NOT AC97).
