Ubuntu 14.04, building 2.4.1 from source (yes, I know 2.4.1 is old, but
(1) at least appears to be just a config problem):
1 - Can't make bison.texinfo, with makeinfo/texinfo installed (can avoid
by preventing a docs and examples build by modifying docs/Makefile and
examples/Makefile)
2 - when configured with '--prefix=/home/me/local', the 'location.cc'
(and presumably skeleton) file used is actually
/usr/local/share/bison/location.cc, and not
/home/me/local/share/bison/location.cc.
