Should I expect to be able to compile

 - jpeg-8
 - libXpm-3.5.8
 - libpng-1.4.0
 - libungif-4.1.4
 - tiff-3.9.1
 - zlib-1.2.3

using MinGW and MSYS?  Most of the image libraries at GnuWin32 are
pretty old or is that what you are using?
