Could you please tell us what versions that worked for you so we can
keep track of that?
I'm not sure if I understand your question.
I just started pulling the development version of Emacs from Savannah
with bzr and expected each new build to increment the place that I
indicated earlier, I was expecting the same behavior as when I build on
GNU/Linux.
But I think I have other issues. The permissions on several files have
been changed---not by me, purposefully---emacs.exe, for one and
libXpm.dll for another ...
