This new version fixes a few minor problems discovered in 0.7.1 and adds a few minor features. GNUnet 0.7.1a is completely compatible with GNUnet 0.7.1. In fact, it is so compatible that there is no new gnunet-gtk release -- gnunet-gtk 0.7.1 should work fine with GNUnet 0.7.1a. You must run gnunet-update after compiling the new code (as usual).
GNUnet 0.7.1a adds yet another dependency: * libxml2 Noteworthy improvements in GNUnet 0.7.1a include: * Automatic detection of external IP addresses and port mapping for peers behind NAT using UPnP * gnunet-download can now be used to download files from already downloaded GNUnet directory files * gnunet-peer-info can now do reverse DNS lookups on peer addresses * gnunet-pseudonym is properly linked * Updated various man pages and other documentation * Extended options supported by gnunet-setup (now complete) The following bugs were fixed: * TCP transport did not connect from behind NAT if the TCP PORT was set to zero * potential assertion failure due to large select write queue (rare) * testing of bi-directional transports behind NAT with gnunet-transport-check is now possible * gnunetd now drops supplementary groups when changing permissions on startup * build problems with libiconv on some systems * verbose option for gnunet-transport-check did not work * aborting gnunet-transport-check with CTRL-C did not work You can download the code from all GNU mirrors or from the URL given below: http://gnunet.org/download/GNUnet-0.7.1.tar.bz2 More information about GNUnet including how to use it, installation, other dependencies, mailinglists, a bug database and a forum can be found at http://gnunet.org/ Thanks to everyone who contributed!
