I ran the Win32 installer. I think it doesn't include

No, it does not. And yes, it should. It will in the future. Greg is
working on better win32 support. The GNUSTEP_CONFIG_FILE issue you
describe below has been fixed in SVN and was a win32-only bug in the
released version of the GNUstep windows installer that you downloaded.
It is my understanding that a revised, fully-functional version of the
windows installer is in the works. Please stay tuned. I have CC'ed Tom
Koelman, the win32 installer maintainer, so he has the opportunity to
correct me if I'm wrong.
It should! Packagers, please make an installer that
includes: #1: Binaries, so it doesn't take an hour
compile when installing, #2: everything on the GNUstep
download page, including GUI development tools.
It's on my to-do list, but I'm leaving the country in a week to spend a
month in France. I hope to work on it when I'm back, unless Tom has
plans to, which I do not believe he does.
Anyway, I ran into some errors compiling
ProjectCenter, I have to paraphrase and type it in
from notes, sorry.
ProjectCenter.exe[1732] GNUSTEP_CONFIG_FILE value
('/etc/GNUstep/GNUstep.conf') is not an absolute path.
Please rebuild GNUstep-base specifying a valid path to
the config file
ProjectCenter.exe[1732] Did not find correct version
of backend, falling back to std.
ProjectCenter.exe[1732] NSApplication.m:271 Assertion
failed in initialize_gnustep_backend unable to find
backend back.
Did I miss some crucial step? I just want to get
started learning GNUstep! Thank you.
