Hi Felix,

/home/gfp/.authinfo.gpg
my home folder

I don´t know what you mean by
$HOME

From the Wiki, it looks like Gnus supports Authinfo. [1] (For non-NNTP
tasks, I personally use Mu4e and Circe, which definitely do.) Did you
put .authinfo.gpg into /home or into $HOME?

The latter would result in a location like /home/gfp/.authinfo.gpg.

Kind regards
Felix
