Hello!!

—-
MY LAPTOP AND ITS TWEAKS BEFORE EXPLAINING:

Dell Latitude E6400
Core2Duo P8600 - 64bit support
2GB Ram
500GB toshiba hdd (mf 2019)

- I am Canoebooted, meaning I am using a custom full open source rom, maybe
that might affect guix? Im unsure

Recently, I have been urging to try GUIX. However, something keeps playing up
during the encryption process. This is the situation:
—
All unencrypted = Boots fully

/boot unencrypted, / not encrypted,/home encrypted = boots fully

/boot unencrypted, / encrypted and /home included = (see below *1)

/boot unencrypted, /encrypted, /home separately encrypted = (see below *1)
—

*1 :

When *1 occurs, i put in the decryption password, it loads the GUI Grub, i
press enter ok the linux 6.10 button selection. And it goes to a blank Guix
screen, and it stalls (never progresses past this point regardless of time)

Ive overlooked the config, the UUID’s and more, and it all seems fine, the
decryption works, but for some reason it cant access the / after i try booting.
But it doesn't give the error that linux isn't found…? Its very confusing,

And one more question if it is okay, how do I further my goals into helping the
FOSS movement? This laptop with guix is meant to be for learning C, and I
wondered what steps i can take to help out!!

May I thank you every so dearly for reading through, and hopefully this wont be
too much of a burden for yourself,

Kieran,
