I'm using Debian 12. The same behaviour took place if I ran guix pull as a 
normal user and with sudo -i. It seems the problem has fixed itself, although I 
didn't update guix (as seen by the timestamp on guix describe). Both 
codeberg.org, gitlab.com, and the repositories used were available at the time.
