Another vote for the system-crafters forum. David also has some very
informative videos where he goes through the process of refactoring his
configuration. I was in the same place you are now when starting with
Guix a few years back, and found many different examples of
configurations around the web. Unfortunately (for me!), to really
understand what was going on required a good understanding of scheme, as
well as the guix environment. After a while, I gave up, then when I came
back to it recently, I used the system-crafters forum and videos to set
my current configuration up on a Lenovo X270 laptop. I am now working
through the configuration from Josep Bigorra here:
https://codeberg.org/jjba23?tab=repositories . In my opinion, it is very
clear, although I am spending time learning more scheme before being
able to fully understand it!
