I read in the manual "Unless you're using Guix System, the 'guix
install' command must have printed this hint:"
I am using Guix System and I received that hint as well. I know that
technically that's not contradictory with the statement in the manual,
but I think most users would expect upon reading the manual that no hint
is disppayed if they are using Guix System. Shall we change this? If you
also think it's a bug, however, I cannot submit it to codeberg because I
run my Guix System without graphical env.
And by the way: because this hint is being displayed as of march 2026
even for GuixSD users: should I add these lines or not?
Also, for the sake of my understanding, do you agree that doing hash
guix after guix pull is useless unless I previously linked the bash
"guix" command to an executable which is not in the same path as the new
one produced by the guix pull command?
