Free software gices the rights of the software to the entire
community of the world. A licence that provides free software is the
GPL licence.

Open Source is invariably just available source code. There are many
different licences from Apache to Mozilla none of them worth while.


"Nonsense!" I hear you say - but it's true. The only worthwhile "open
source" licence is one that makes the software source code free to
eveyone in the world. Open source licences that don't do that are
poisonous.


If it was a rhetorical question I apologise for the diatribe.

Also I don't want to start a debate on this list about free software.
