All of the packages in binary-all and binary-hurd install and work; but are
subject to dependencies.  There are emacs and vim; and TeX works fine.  You just
cannot run X.  It is like logging in from a Windows PC into a UNIX box.

Get screen; this will give you multiple windows on you Hurd
